Summer 2016

I'm sure you'all have been on the edge of your seat wondering where in the world I will be spending my summer vacation.  I'm sure you were wondering since I have a baby... since I became a grown up... maybe I would have a super boring normal summer.  It seems everyone has a baby and their blog becomes a boring scrapbook of their baby.  Well..... mine is no different.  Except for anyone that had hope that just maybe I will be doing something crazy this summer... you are in luck.  The boring baby blog is going to be pretty fantastic.... But first, let's go over the review one more time. :)

The Summer of 2007 or the Wanna Be Door to Door Sales Girl. (Atlanta to Annapolis)

The Summer of 2008 or the Raw Foodist that realized she HATES statistics. (BYU Masters)

The Summer of 2009 or the (500) Days of Shane.

The Summer of 2010 or The Introduction to Chi Town.

The Summer of 2011 or Lovin' in Los Angeles.

The Summer of 2012 or Cruising around the Mediterranean while my heart was in Provo.

The Summer of 2013 or Livin' off Love - the return of the Student Life Style.

The Summer of 2014 or Red Rocks, Rock Climbs, and Dixie.

The Summer of 2015 or both Jason and I living out our dreams in California!.... him as a dentist and me at Disneyland!!!

Now I thought the summer of 2016 would for sure be a total let down.  I mean what could compete with DISNEYLAND???? I am mean I have a baby WHICH IS AMAZING.... but let's be honest, babies can be total fun suckers. So I was afraid that baby and I would be spending the entire summer in our little 1 bedroom apartment dreaming of a better day.  But then last night happened.   We booked our tickets so I can officially announce that on the 19th year anniversary of the last time the Parson family was crazy enough to go across the pond. The month of July we will be spending in...

You see.... my dad is one of those artists.  (Pronounced ar - teest)  And he has been talking about doing an art class in Florence for the last 7 or so years.  He almost signed up and went back in 2010 but chickened out and went to Chicago instead.  (Hence I went to Chicago the summer of 2010)  Anyway, I convinced my dad in order to be "relevant" in the art world he needs to A. Go to Italy. (He's never been) and B. Be able to say, "Yeah I studied in Florence"  So........ my mom and dad will be spending a month of the summer living in an apartment in Florence.  But as I was thinking about it I said, "Dad, I bet a 2 bedroom apartment is almost the same price as a one bedroom.... and I bet Mom needs someone to hang out with her......." So I was on board with going with them.  And then we decided we should invite the whole family.... so the two bedroom turned into 5 beds.... and multiple of my siblings and spouses will be making an appearance.

So bottom line is: WE'RE going to LIVE in ITALY!!!

I am so excited because ITALY and as anyone who has traveled knows, the WORST part of traveling is how tired you constantly feel.   The hit by a train feeling... ran over by a train is more like it.  And the constant pressure you feel to be getting in as much as possible in the short time you are there.  But NOT THIS TIME!!! (Sorry for all the caps.... It's just I am pretty darn excited!)  I'm so excited to be able to just hang out, relax, sleep!!! and not feel pressure that I am wasting precious time.

So where will we go?  Good question... a lot is still up in the air.  But some places I'm sure we'll hit are.... well actually, for fun, let's step back and review my favorite places that we will for sure hit up.

Florence

Roma!

Venice

And hopefully back to my favorite place on Earth..... Sorrento!

Other places I am hoping to go.... (nothing is set in stone yet.)

The Island of Capri, Italy

Cinque Terra, Italy

Interlaken, Switzerland

Lake Como, Italy

Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland

Monaco

Bavaria, Germany

And I'd love to end the trip in.........

Prague

Whether all those place happen or not.  It is going to be one heck of summer!!!!
